Interior Alaska Building Association
Memorial Scholarship

The memorial scholarship was established in October of 2008 to provide scholarships to students attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks who intend to pursue a career in residential architectural building, drafting technology, civil engineering, construction management, or other related fields.

This scholarship was established to memorialize several professional contributors to building in Alaska; Norm Boelts, Leo Oleson, Randy Doll, and Robert Maxwell.  Their names and award schedule rotate with each consecutive year and they will be recognized in both advertisements and awarding notifications to students.

This scholarship shall be rotated between the drafting technology, civil engineering, and construction management scholarship committees on an annual basis. Scholarship awards will be used for qualified educational expenses only.

Since the scholarship made its first award in 2011, IABA has helped 9 students with $12,290 in scholarship awards!
